The Davies Group are currently seeking an experienced underwriter to develop and maintain our current MGA relationships. We are ideally seeking someone who is ACII qualified for this role. 

This is a homebased role with occasional travel to Guernsey. 

Key Duties: 
• Working with the Guernsey CEO on new business opportunities,
• within the Company’s Client Support Team to provide underwriting, broker’s ledger support, credit control and banking related services to the MGA business and supporting the Davies Guernsey CEO with New Business Opportunities
•   Modelling financial projections and regulatory solvency
•   Monitoring, receiving and entering risk information on to the system
•   Developing the underwriting process for the risk
•   Receipt and handling of claims information
•   Arranging settlement of claims payments via treasury department
•   Ensuring broker TOBA details and banking information are kept up to date

Key Tasks: 
•   Initial set-up and management of insurance aspects of new clients
•   Supporting applications to the GFSC
•   Processing premium closings on to appropriate systems
•   Receiving documentation from brokers or clients as required to enable processing of premium entries
•   Liaising with brokers or clients regarding premium queries
•   Generating payment requests with supporting documentation and reconciliation of payments once made
•   Ensuring all correspondence is stored electronically
•   Liaison with all other departments including treasury, claims, accounting as required
