We are currently recruiting for a Global insurance organisation who are looking to get on board a finance manager on a permanant basis. The role will play a pivotal part in leading multiple teams, working with colleagues across the business and our clients to ensure effective cash management and operational accounting. A great opportunity for a strong leader from a finance or Accounting background.
Duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for day-to-day people management and leadership of the accounts teams;
- Responsible for the delivery of monthly P&Ls and balance sheet reconciliations;
- Setting and delivering on aged debt objectives with the Credit Control team;
- Monthly reporting of collections and aged debt;
- Managing and overseeing the Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger functions;
- Working closely with the Claims Solutions Finance Director to achieve the overall business goals;
- Acting as an escalation point for the team;
- Handling queries from clients and colleagues and resolving problems;
- Month end and year end preparation;
Key Skills & Experience
- Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Excellent communicator, able to work and influence across teams
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Previous experience of managing teams
- Forward thinker – able to demonstrate proactive problem solving
- Excel intermediate/advanced
- Able to work in a fast paced environment continually changing environment
- Able to work as part of a close knit and developing team.
