Customer Due Diligence Assistant

Due to maternity leave, my client needs to appoint someone on a Fixed Term Contract for a minimum of 8 months although this may extend to 12 months. The role involves performing both basic and advanced due diligence on a range of clients.

  • Undertaking basic checks by performing internet searches to establish that an entity has a valid business registration consistent with their own publicity
  • Advanced due diligence checks to establish company ownership structure using public resources
  • Carrying out sanction/PEP screening on new clients and associated entities using commercial software
  • Corresponding with client relationship partners to request and check documentation is compliant with AML policy
  • Collating documents and completing a checklist to send for a final sign off ensuring compliance with the internal AML policy
  • Assisting the Company Secretary with client due diligence that may be required


  • A good eye for detail
  • The ability to think practically to perform research without prescriptive instructions 
  • Able to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines calmly and efficiently
  • Strong communication skills to liaise confidently with stakeholders to Partner level
  • Be willing to learn, share knowledge and work as part of a team
  • The ability to prioritise appropriately a workload with multiple competing deadlines
