My Client is a leading Professional Services Consulting firm. Working as part of the Financial Services Advisory practice which covers a broad remit within the Governance space the team have expertise in Internal Audit, Operational Risk (Operational Resilience), Credit Risk, Regulatory Risk (PRA/FCA) Conduct Risk, Financial Crime, Credit Risk and Economic Crime.
 
We are seeking an additional consultant with a broad range of experience in Credit Risk either from a consulting background, regulator or industry (commercial banking).
 
The role will involve:

  • Acting as a Credit Risk expert supporting a variety of projects for financial services firms
  • Supporting the delivery of Credit Risk focused Skilled Person Reviews through reviewing the adequacy and effectiveness of firms’ credit risk governance and credit risk management arrangement
  • Work as part of the wider team engaged on Skilled Person reviews and internal control and regulatory reviews.
  • Leading and planning assignments and organising the delivery of the work in your specific area
  • Leading more complex assignments within your specialism and supervising and developing more junior team members
  • Developing and maintaining deep client relationships
  • Providing training and mentoring to less experienced team members
  • Supporting clients with their remediation of credit risk issues
  • Conducting Credit Risk analysis, reviewing customer credit files to assess the effectiveness of controls
  • Performing assessments of credit risk management and responsible lending frameworks against regulatory expectations

 
The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5 years plus Credit Risk experience within a professional services firm, regulator or industry
  • Solid understanding of credit risk products (including retail lending, commercial lending and trade finance)
  • Knowledge and experience of the credit risk lifecycle (processes, governance, and documentation etc)
  • Strong communication skills, ability to influence, lead, engage, and manage stakeholders
  • Ability to lead complex reviews and be a team player
  • Demonstrable experience in undertaking advisory and assurance reviews in credit risk
