Our client is a City based Marine Insurance company based in London with hybrid working available. They are looking to recruit a Credit Controller to ensure their timely collection, timely and accurate processing, control and monitoring of premium receipts and sundry debit items. You will chase and regularly monitor all accounts to ensure that Premium invoices are paid in good time and, where this is not the case, to “flag” accounts appropriately and promptly to enable the withholding of claim reimbursements or security.
You will also be responsible for processing all receipts through the SAP Accounting system and ensure accurate allocations are made to the clients’ ledgers. Where funds are not received when due, you will maintain ongoing and effective dialogue and correspondence with clients and brokers, keeping the Finance Manager, Underwriters and Directors (as appropriate) advised of developments, via the maintenance of Excel spreadsheet records for outstanding Premiums and document management system.
Candidates must have previous experience of credit control, which ideally would include interaction with UK and overseas clients, preferably within the Insurance market. You will possess good keyboard skills, be proficient in the use of excel, outlook and word processing and ideally have experience in the use of a PC based accounting system (preferably SAP).
