Corporate Insurance Account Handler

Our client, has grown to become one of the UK’s leading independently-operated insurance brokers.

They specialise in farm and estate insurance but also provide bespoke to include large Vineyards, financial services, commercial and bloodstock insurance advice.
With 60 years’ experience sourcing tailored cover for the rural community, they have a deep understanding of the issues, risks and challenges faced by clients.

Most of their 16 offices across the UK are situated in rural or market town locations.

Due to business volumes, they require a very experienced Commercial (Corporate) insurance account handler who has a lot of nouse and can work under pressure (as the support is seasonal so really heavy at times and more slack others).

You will be expected to support to Account Exec plus wider duties as required dealing with premium levels in excess of £25,000 but ideally over and above £100,000
General Cross Class Commercial risks handling and a flexible attitude are important.

It is suitable for those who are used to managing their own time and prioritising their workload.

Very organised and broking experience is really useful
Essential Attributes

  • A willing ‘can do’ attitude, and a desire to learn about all aspects of insurance
  • Confident communication skills – both written & oral
  • Good negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with both clients and insurers/underwriters
  • Good organisational ability
  • Well-presented, hardworking, pro-active team player with initiative

    A Chartered Insurance Broker who will commit to and fund the training of the successful candidate, providing access to a training programme to facilitate achieving the full range of CII qualifications, from the Certificate to Diploma and then Chartered status. It will be an expectation that the successful candidate will complete the Cert CII within the first 18 months of employment. Would like already attained Cert CII and working towards Dip CII ideally.
