Committee Operations Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for a Committee Operations Manager to join a leading insurance company, who specialise in providing insurance services for a portfolio of syndicates within the Lloyd’s market. Based in their Executive Office in Central London, the company has a hybrid working arrangement with 2 – 3 days a week at home. The role will be to establish then lead the team to ensure the smooth management and operation of the company’s client governance and committee framework, acting as the main point of contact across the company’s client base.


  • Take ownership of the company’s client governance and committee framework and acting as the key point of contact for each client as well as internal functions.
  • Be responsible for setting, managing and communicating the company’s committee schedule, including tracking attendance, membership etc.
  • Facilitate the smooth operation of committee meetings.
  • Regular liaison and coordination with the Company Secretarial team as required in the reporting to formal Company Boards and Committees.
  • Shared responsibility for organising and maintaining committee agendas, and for coordinating, reviewing and publishing meeting papers in line with defined service level agreements.
  • Responsibility for management of meeting minutes (which are predominantly outsourced to Take Note) ensuring minutes are of required quality and delivered in line with service level agreements.
  • Manage and develop resources in the team as required.


  • Strong organisational skills, managing multiple priorities with competing deadlines whilst ensuring work is consistently accurate.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
  • Good interpersonal skills – able to deal with colleagues, directors and clients at all levels. Should have the confidence to persuade others to provide information and meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter – able to display initiative and work with autonomy.
  • Previous experience of being in a role at a similar level, demonstrating accountability and strong organisational/project management skills essential
  • Competent MS Office user
  • Prior experience in co-ordinating committees desirable but not essential
  • Experience of working in a regulatory environment desirable but not essential
  • Previous experience of establishing and/or managing a team desirable
