Business Development Representative (Mortgages)

My client is an innovative and industry leading business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (D2C) publisher, with over 35 years’ experience delivering solutions to the mortgage and personal finance markets. Based in Holborn with a hybrid working arrangement, the small but respectable company provides a knowledge hub for both the mortgage industry and consumer personal finance markets. Their expertise and market understanding allows customers to maximise their own business opportunities in an extremely targeted marketplace.

The company is looking for a dynamic, target driven and motivated individual with a passion for digital sales to join the B2B side of their Commercial Team. Becoming an integral part of the advertising division, selling multi-platform advertising and content solutions across their digital platforms. You will be exposed to different areas of the commercial team providing you with a solid foundation of media knowledge that will serve you for your entire career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establishing client needs, and identifying opportunities to drive B2B advertising revenue
  • Building and developing client and Agency relationships to increase spend
  • Developing and converting a pipeline to meet monthly targets.
  • Generating new sales leads through prospecting
  • Collaborating with internal teams to build proposals that will win client business.
  • Maximising profit by up-selling or cross-selling the companies digital products and brands.
  • Performing ongoing market research.

Requirements

  • Excellent sales ability
  • Ability to sell a wide range of solutions – display advertising, creative solutions and digital events to advertising partners
  • Prospecting and lead generation

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage a sales pipeline
  • Hit goals and targets

  • Excellent influencing, objection handling, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Work to deadlines
  • Relevant market experience is desirable but not essential
